I will discuss the process that most individuals go through to become admitted into an outpatient treatment program. The basic concepts of Rule 25 are addressed as an assessment tool to help the assessor gather information to help determine if an individual is a good fit for an outpatient substance abuse treatment program. Throughout the episode, I also give my opinion and feedback on the issues I see outpatient facilities go through and what could possibly be done to help them. I also get into concepts of good quality coordination of care and how it is beneficial for the clients and staff of a treatment center. I also get into further discussion on my opinion on what clients may benefit from outpatient treatment and the ones that may not through my experience working as a licensed alcohol drug counselor (LADC).
