A few years ago, Alabama Crimson Tide radio announcer Eli Gold heard the words no one wants to hear: "you have cancer." The diagnosis took Gold away from the radio booth, as well as from his friends and family, for many months as he battled the disease privately. Now for the first time, Gold recounts the details of his brutal battle against cancer, how he kept his positive outlook throughout the ordeal, and what it taught him about himself and about life.
