in 167 BC a ruler named Antiochus IV Epiphanes intentionally set up a horrible thing in God's Temple in order to defile it. This was the first abomination of desolation. Jesus also looks forward to the future in Mark 13 and Matthew 24, predicting that another, even worse, abomination of desolation would come in the future. What might this be?
