While Jesus was dying on the cross, the religious leaders mocked Him viciously, suggesting that He should be able to save Himself from death, if He was truly the Messiah. Unbeknownst to them, if Jesus did save Himself, then He would have demonstrated that He was not the Messiah at all, according to the prophet Isaiah and other Bible prophecies.
