Show Notes

This week’s episode features our very first male guests! With Father’s Day quickly approaching, I wanted to explore the nuances of Black Fatherhood. This episode had was a bit of a departure from the usual in the best way possible.

Guest Feature:

Muki and Brown are the co-hosts of the 30 to Life Podcast. In honor of Father’s Day, I had a chance to speak with 2 Black millennial dads and got some insight on their journeys through parenthood.

“Breaking stereotypes, building legacies, and helping others along the way. 30 to Life is for 30 somethings trying to make it in America. Tune in every Wednesday with Muki and Brown as they have stimulating conversations with a hint of comedy about everyday millennial life and black culture. 30 to Life is more than a black podcast. It is an experience.”

Discussion Highlights:

  • Pregnancy and the postpartum period from the perspective of partner,
  • the mental shift that happens after becoming a parent,
  • how parenthood changes relationships,
  • The importance of knowing yourself before partnering or becoming a parent
  • And much more…

On My Radar:

  • BLQK Coffee: Black-owned coffee company dedicated to championing educational, economic, and food justice by serving handcrafted coffee with style
