Dr. Shala completed his medical degree at the University of Aleppo in Syria in 1990 and further specialized in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He has received numerous accolades for his contributions to cardiac care, including multiple Physician Recognition awards from the American Medical Association and the James Givens’ Award for Excellence from the University of Tennessee. In addition to his medical career, Dr. Shala is an esteemed Islamic scholar and lecturer.
