Vanessa Funk aus Coburg ist Autorin einer Fantasy-Trilogie. Im ersten Band „Ahawa Lamia – Flammendes Erwachen“ geht es um die sechszehnjährige Sophia, die einen Zugang in eine andere Welt namens Orbis entdeckt. Band 2 wird voraussichtlich Ende Oktober 2025 erscheinen. Im Podcast gibt Vanessa einen Einblick in ihre Arbeit, aber auch in die Welt des Buchhandels und der Verlage. Sie erzählt, wie sie sich ihren Traum vom ersten eigenen Roman verwirklicht hat, wie sie Figuren und Welten erfindet und warum wir alle mehr Phantasie haben sollten.
