186 episodes — Page 2 of 4

Ep 136Forty Percent Leadbelly
How does folk music get made? Is it 3D printed? You can 3D print anything these days, right? Anyways, Bender tries to 3D print some folk. I think that's the point of this episode. Ben makes a Wikipedia edit. Mike makes a Hamilton edit.

Ep 135Naturama
This one is a weird one as we see what it would be like if the PlanEx crew were all... uh... salmon and turtles and seals. You read that right. Ben has seen pornos that start this way. Mike changes his punctuation to 14 point.

Ep 134Viva Mars Vegas
Everybody put on your heisting caps, because we're going on a heist! The crew needs to steal 8 million dollars and a mysterious box from the robot mafia's casino. We promise this will be an exciting heist and not one of those BORING heists. Obviously, Ben and Mike are busy heisting, too, and they're going to heist the coolest thing to steal ever: ooze. Come with us ont his journey in Ooze Heist: Heist the Ooze. Ben puts $20 on 5. Mike makes demands of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ep 13331st Century Fox
The crew's new uniforms are ruined! But Bender doesn't care; he just takes up an exciting new hobby of hunting and brutally murdering foxes. THIS WILL BE FINE. The crew attempts to thwart his new hobby, anyway. Meanwhile, we talk about, uh... strip clubs? And also we talk about how to design amazing uniforms for when you're not stripping. Ben makes a last minute alteration. Mike watches a movie.

Ep 132Near-Death Wish
The professor's parents come back. As you might expect, they are extremely old. Also, the professor hates them for some reason, so we'll all have to dig into that. We also say some jazz about podcast awards and Greg the Bunny. Do you remember that show? Seth Green, please tweet @backtofuturama and let's start a Greg the Bunny podcast. Billy Crystal may or may not be involved. We maybe drag J.K. Rowling a bit? Ben is four times faster than USB-C. Mike gets retconned.

Ep 131Free Will Hunting
Robots are just a jumbled pile of programming that do whatever the heck their programming tells them to. That include Bender, the lovable rascal! But what if Bender wanted to get free will? That's what we explore in this episode that is definitely not talking about Good Will Hunting. That's a different thing. Ben starts an improv school. Mike goes into debt.

Ep 130Fun on a Bun
It's July! And that means it's time for our nations favorite holiday, waiting for three months and then going to Germany for a respectful Oktoberfest! Bender gets involved in a sausage competition! Fry gets involved in Neanderthal society! Ben gets involved in saying "penis" an awful lot. We were talking about sausages, it was bound to happen. Ben gives a German lesson. Mike is a dedicated member of the Ska scene.

Ep 129The Six Million Dollar Mon
Let's face it, we would all love to get some cool robotic upgrades, whether it be a chest harpoon or an extendo-arm or even a Cylon-dong. But if you actually had the back-alley surgeon to do it, would you? Hermes does and he has to deal with the consequences. We, meanwhile, go on quite a thing about how everybody is trying to be Game of Thrones, including Futurama. And that of course goes into a whole thing about Sean Bean. Why wouldn't it? Ben does the mash. Mike notes it was a graveyard smash.

Ep 128The Butterjunk Effect
If a murderfly flaps its wings on the Moon, does a hurricane hit the Earth? No, it really just pummels Amy and Leela a lot. This sentence I just typed makes perfect sense. Also there are drugs involved. Don't do drugs. Or do. We're not your parents. Ben also gloats a lot about being Ben. Did you know he's Ben and he has done a lot of stuff in his life? He will tell you about it. He also has a not at all crazy theory about Al Gore time traveling. Ben writes a book. Mike gets surprised by Y.

Ep 127Zapp Dingbat
What happens when your mom starts dating your ex? Also, it wasn't your ex, it was just some dude you had sex with a few times? And also, they end up getting engaged? Well, if you can't imagine what you'd do, let's take a look at what Leela does. Meanwhile, Fry and Bender surf in the sewers with Leela's dad. Cowabunga, dude! We also talk about what the best sewers to surf in would be, and Detective Pikachu (again) and expectations for the new Sonic movie (or Sanic movie?), and we spend way too much time talking about The Borax Kid. We also come up with a plan that is definitely not a scam. Ben uses the word "scam." Mike makes a statement to the jury.

Ep 126The Thief of Baghead
Bender gets a new job getting pictures of Spider-Man... I mean, celebrities. And it brings him on an ultimate quest to get the un-photographable photograph and kills a few friends in the process. Meanwhile at Back to the Futurama studios, we're talking about the World Acting Competition. We get sued by Meat Loaf... maybe again? It's possible we've done that bit once before. Ben makes a vampire callback. Mike demands pictures of Spider-Man.

Ep 125Decision 3012
Election season already? But the problem is all the candidates are the same collection of sound bites. But what if... what if there was a great candidate who was definitely probably born on Earth and also maybe from the future? Would you vote for him or would you vote for Nixon? Meanwhile, we talk about space vampires and sexy ghosts. And if that doesn't get you to listen then I don't know how to sell you this podcast any better. Ben waits 5 and a half minutes for a hot dog. Mike drags Andrew Jackson.

Ep 124A Farewell to Arms
The discovery of a Mayan... er... Martian calendar that predicts the end of the world in 3012 prompts panic and mass evacuations. How will the PlanEx crew ever cope? Meanwhile, Ben has some feelings about the whole "the world will end in 2012 thing" and we also try to figure out if Grey Poupon has an internet presence in 2019. Ben's birthday party gets canceled. Mike gets a new soundbite.

Ep 123The Bots and the Bees
We're back for the final season of Futurama! We start off by answering the question we've always had, if we're going to be honest: where do robot babies come from? We were just too embarrassed to ask. Bender probably was too, because he didn't know and now he's got a kid. WARNING: This episode is very heavy on Bens. But why are we warning you? Bens are great. Meanwhile we try to get in on some of that Detective Pikachu money (badly) and we also figure out a great way to fill in all those Game of Thrones plot holes. (Hint: it involves outdated home video technology). Ben gets Ben representation. Mike asks his wife out on a date.

Ep 122Q&A With Ben and Mike
We're doing a Q&A as our final season break episode! You had questions, and we answered them! As promised, you can find Machinimasound at machinimasound.com for all your musical needs. They did the intro. We payed them for it so we don't have to thank them for it, but tonight we're gonna thank them for it. Ben is Frank Nastyman. Mike peers into the future to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

Ep 121Reincarnation
Futurama is a product of the early 2000s in America, but what if it were actually a 40s cartoon? Or a video game? Or from Japan? We find out in this rather bizarre setup in which those things happen. Meanwhile, we talk a lot about video games. It was bound to happen considering how much video game stuff was in here. Also, Ben is in chill-mode so we talk about like... daiquiris or somesuch. Ben cranks up the chill knob. Mike goes to the multiverse.

Ep 120Overclockwise
We would all love to be smarter and faster, but what if we could do that thing I just said because we were all robots? That's exactly what Bender does in this tech tale. Fry and Leela have some serious talks about their relationship that involves space busses. Meanwhile, we also talk about computers a lot. It turns out we're HUGE NERDS. Who knew? Plus, you get the best story about an End User License Agreement you've ever heard. Ben becomes an authority on something. Mike considers Futurama tattoos. Music at the end of the episode is "Super Sunday" and used with permission. "Super Sunday" is provided by http://www.freesfx.co.uk.

Ep 119Cold Warriors
We regret to inform you that our noses are gunked up with blork... is what we'd be saying if we had the common cold. In our day, it's so common that it's... well, called "the common cold," but in the year 3012? Not so much! Meanwhile, we make more King of the Hill references (mostly Ben does this) and we get a little bit real about some father-son bonding. Ben wants to tell you what. Mike remembers a terrifying nightmare tunnel. Music at the end of the episode is "Super Sunday" and used with permission. "Super Sunday" is provided by http://www.freesfx.co.uk.

Ep 118All the Presidents' Heads
When you go back in time to beat up your ancestor, you have to do it carefully unless you want to end up using the metric system! [spooky music plays]. That's just what Professor Farnsworth does in order to save his family name. Other talking points are... shark jumping and also a lot of time travel philosophy. You might also accidentally learn something about history in this episode! It's edutainment! Ben becomes a philosophy professor. Mike becomes Dilbert. Music at the end of the episode is "Super Sunday" and used with permission. "Super Sunday" is provided by http://www.freesfx.co.uk.

Ep 117Fry Am The Egg Man
Fry sits on an egg and falls in love with it. A natural reaction. Then it turns out that it is a vicious monster with an attack of type J! Then hilarity ensues...? Meanwhile we discuss what our Scooby-Doo schemes would be if we were to do some Scooby-Doo schemes. Ben tells a tale of sauce packets. Mike falls in love with a chair. Music at the end of the episode is "Super Sunday" and used with permission. "Super Sunday" is provided by http://www.freesfx.co.uk.

Ep 116Yo Leela Leela
We're talking about yet another TV show inside the TV show on this podcast where we talk about TV shows! Leela decides to get in on the great racket of selling drivel to kids, and gets results! Bender also becomes a tugboat and we can't stress that enough. Meanwhile, we talk about Doug and Legends of the Hidden Temple and possible causes for March Madness AND March Sadness. Ben gets an archaeology degree. Mike gets a sext grading rubric. Music at the end of the episode is "Super Sunday" and used with permission. "Super Sunday" is provided by http://www.freesfx.co.uk.

Ep 115Neutopia
Guess what? We have nothing nice to say about this one. Hashtag spoilers. We hope you enjoy anyway. And we want you to know that we love you no matter who you are. Ben gives you icebreaking tips. Mike jumps 70 feet into the air.

Ep 114Ghost in the Machines
Bad news, everybody! Bender is dead. And on top of that, he's haunting Fry with intent to kill. We also ask important questions about the future like "what's with the pineapple vending machine?" and "what was Leela's wrist thingy called again?" Speaking of death, we contemplate the death of Flash. Some say it's about time, and that includes both of us. Ben drives a delivery hearse. Mike wants pineapples wants pineapples for cheap. Music at the end of the episode is "Super Sunday" and used with permission. "Super Sunday" is provided by http://www.freesfx.co.uk.

Ep 113The Tip of the Zoidberg
An ancient pact sealed long ago, in the ancient era of... 2927, means that Zoidberg must do the unthinkable. But will he be able to do it? Meanwhile, the Planet Express crew builds a giant murder machine. Other talking points are the worst role play ever and also pizza. An awful lot of pizza. Ben starts a newspaper. Mike reveals secrets about the forever pizza.

Ep 112Benderama
My God! It's full of Benders! We're inundated with Benders on today's episode. In fact, the Planet Express crew is also inundated with Benders. The whole wolrd is inundated with Benders! Bender seems fine with it. Other suggested talking points are meat cakes and... uh... butt marbles? Look, this episode goes some unexpected places, so we want to give you a warning ahead of time. Ben checks Zoidberg's Pinterest. Mike has a lot of questions.

Ep 111Law and Oracle
We're going to the police academy! No, don't worry, we didn't say we're going to watch the movie Police Academy. Fry decides he needs a career change and become a TIME COP. Meanwhile, Bender tries to heist something, so the status is quo. Other talking points in this episode are... uh... genitals. And great (horror) movies to watch on Valentine's Day! This episode was maybe a mistake. Ben becomes Michael Winslow 2.0. Mike marries some parakeets for the inheritance.

Ep 110Mobius Dick
What is obsession? Is it making sure the job gets done? Is it hunting proverbial white whales? Is it hunting actual for real white whales who are also in space and traverse 4 dimensions? Leela finds out on this episode, and that means you do, too! We also talk about doing things backwards, kinda. We also discuss the best flavor of grief popsicles. And of course, we always knew what a "widow's walk" was! ALWAYS. Ben becomes a macho man. Mike becomes a sexy forklift.

Ep 109The Silence of the Clamps
What would you do if you witnessed the worst clamping that ever clamped? Would you hide on a moon or in a pizza place? And what if if was actually your friend who witnessed the clamping? You'd probably be sad. Luckly you made a new friend (who has some clamps) to pass the time. Also, Ben and Mike discuss Malcom in the Middle and cake and meatballs (not together! ew!) and the Food Network. And I guess this episode. Ben makes contentious cake choices. Mike possibly married a robot.

Ep 108Ben Fudged Up
What happens when one cohost watches the right episode and one cohost watches the wrong episode? Tune into this special episode to find out! We make conjectures as to why networks air episodes out of order. We make sure we know what the definition of "right" is. We talk about other podcasts and of course, we talk about Podcon. This one's kind of a disaster. Remember to always trust your spreadsheets. Ben fudges up. Mike acts like a hero.

Ep 107The Futurama Holiday Spectacular
We're talking three different holidays in the Futurama Holiday Spectacular! Fry wants to revive the true meaning of Xmas to make it feel more like Christmas with a tree that is coniferous. Bender wants to celebrate the holiest six weeks in the robot calendar with some sexy oil wrestling. Hermes and family want to impart the wisdom of Kwanzaa but need beeswax for the candles. Also Al Gore is there a lot. Meanwhile, Ben talks a lot about Taco Bell. A lot. Ben tries to get free food. Mike talks about A Christmas Story.

Ep 106The Mutants Are Revolting
Futurama's 100th Episode! Not our episode 100 though. But Bender decides to celebrate that MILESTONE by throwing a party! And Leela gets banished to the sewers when she's outed as a mutant. There's a lot of Titanic references. Meanwhile, Mike promises to watch Titanic under certain conditions and Ben tries to get a slew of famous guests. We talk about bureaucratic love languages and the logistics of underwater hotdog eating. Dictated but not read. Ben gets distracted by an orgy. Mike has a hotdog nightmare.

Ep 105lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences
Every couple gets into arguments from time to time, but most don't end with conquering Earth. Luckily for viewers of this fine program and unlucky for us, Lrr and Ndnd are not just any couple. They DEFINE "power couple." Fry also goes on a whole weird side plot about comics. Meanwhile we admit we don't do much research (I know you are shocked) and also tell fun stories about flamable substances and weird sleep actions. Ben chooses Rrrmrrrmrrrfrrrmrrr. Mike chooses Consequences.

Ep 104The Prisoner of Benda
Look. This one gets messy. I don't know what to tell you. Everybody switches minds with everybody! Fry is Zoidberg! Leela is the Professor! The Professor is a daredevil robot called "Nonchalanto!" Romances are tested and hearts are broken and mathematics happen. We also talk about DVD audio commentaries (for things other than Futurama), invent a TV show that's just 3 shows smashed together, and question the future NBA. Ben switches bodies with The Rock. Mike siwtches bodies with his dog.

Ep 103A Clockwork Origin
Let's talk a little bit about differences of opinion between science and creationism. And by that I definitely mean "here's a lot of information about Ask Jeeves. Oh right, so the Professor flies off to an asteroid and accidentally creates robo-life. Zoidberg attempts to be the best dang father he can be. Ben gets in legal trouble again. Mike eats a baseball glove.

Ep 102That Darn Katz!
Amy is finally defending her thesis to get her doctorate, but gets denied thanks to a cat. Then the cat causes a lot more mayhem. Turns out they have some nefarious schemes, who knew? Also we talk an awful lot about our own cats including an amusing story about a cat butthole! We know that's what you subscribe for. But we're not just talking about cats; we've also got the latest in Law & Order and Aquaman may or may not be involved. Ben creates an artistic cat movie. Mike is looking for some witch's bwew.

Ep 101The Late Philip J. Fry
Fry has more time travel shenanigans when he ends up stuck in the future. Leela assumes he's dead and gets really mad about it. Also Bender is there, so you know it's gonna be fun on a bun. As is our usual style, Ben gets awfully stuck on a thing not at all related to Futurama. In this case, it's pulling on the pull-em and pushing on the push-em and the pickls go into the jar. Mike tries to stop it but is unsuccessful. Ben gets fired from the pickle factory. Mike provides hambone context.

Ep 100Lethal Inspection
We're back for episode number 100! We're excited to be here. So excited, that we mostly talk about The Rock in this episode. But meanwhile, Bender has to come to terms with his own mortality, and he does that by trying to get revenge. Yes, it's a rare Bender and Hermes joint adventure. Also, Leela gets into some trouble. Let us know what your Darth name would be and if you want to join The Rock's new team. Ben learns some information about Winamp. Mike reads "World's Bravest Hamsters."

Ep 99The Duh-Vinci Code
There's a mystery afoot! Secret plans for a secret device by Leonard da Vinci himself is discovered, and so it's of to Future-Roma to figure it all out! Also, we try to come up with a new slogan for Back to the Futurama and accidentally start another podcast. How many does that make for us now? Holy wow. We have a lot of fake podcasts. Don't forget to check out the new fan group! It's at https://www.facebook.com/groups/278614799452772/ Ben would do anything for love. Mike won't do that.

Ep 98Proposition Infinity
We're back with more timely shows! This one is about /checks notes/ Proposition 8! But the 8 is flipped on its side so it's different. Bender and Amy do some hanky panky and want to get married. Hermes gets a virus. The professor pickles some weather. We also find more Jeremeys (or Jeremies?). We talk about the MOST ANNOYING RINGTONE THAT EVER EXISTED. There's... other stuff probably. It is late and I need to go to bed. Who remembers what this episode is about? Ben makes a political attack ad. Mike wants more circusitis but his hopes... deleted.

Ep 97Attack of the Killer App
We're back with the latest in eyePhone technology! Come along with us as we twit our twupdates and sing songs from Les Mis. We also talk way too much about toilets. Way too much. And toilet humor. Sorry. And goat vomit. Also sorry. And butt boils. Sorry again. Look this episode is not as gross as it sounds. Ben resists talking about the Sims. Mike starts a Catdog podcast.

Ep 96In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela
This episode didn't go down smooth so we put it in a blender and then accidentally left the blender on for too long! Anyway, unsurprisingly we are not a fan of this episode of Futurama and therefore this episode of the podcast gets very weird. We're sorry! Unless you like in which case <zoidberg-voice>then it was all on purpose!</zoidberg-voice> Zapp and Leela get stuck on a planet and Earth also explodes probably. Ben invents invisible jet fanfiction. Mike is Tuba Neutral.

Ep 95Rebirth
WOO HOO! FUTURAMA IS BACK! Do you remember the joy that came along with Futurama's triumphant return? Does it hold up after oh so many years away? The crew comes back except for Leela who is dead and that makes Fry sad. Bender is loaded up with many gigawatts of energy and needs to strut his stuff. Meanwhile, you are treated to a great(?) story about Ben's car and we come up with the greatest new TV show Fox never canceled, which has nothing to do with Ben's car. Ben does some DeLorean math. Mike explains dogs.

Ep 94Season 5 Break - Disenchantment
For our season break we are talking about the brand new Matt Groening show, Disenchantment! We watched the first episode and we talk about what we like and what we don't, and what we are looking forward to in future episodes. Also, apologies for extra echo in this week's episode. The studio got re-arranged and there's an awful lot of echo. We'll work on it. Ben gets butterflies in his stomach. Mike is too humble for compliments.

Ep 93Into the Wild Green Yonder Part 4
WE ARE FINALLY DONE WITH THESE MOVIES. We are also done with the environment! Or... are we done with the feministas? We don't really know and I guess we'll have to listen to this episode to find out which side of this debate we are on. Fry continues his quest to save the universe. The feministas have to escape from jail. Bender does... some stuff. Meanwhile we find out some legal jargon we were totally wrong about. (WE ARE DEFINITELY NOT LAWYERS). We all come up with a plan C. Also, what's up with Linda's dating life? We never hear about that. Ben laments through song. Mike dates Hedonismbot. Music for law segment: Divertissement - Pizzicato (from the ballet Sylvia) Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

Ep 92Into the Wild Green Yonder Part 3
The eco-feminists are growing and causing more havoc. The giant miniature golf course is growing and destroying more environment. Meanwhile, Mike writes some limericks, so strap in for... something. Another episode of Back to the Futurama, I guess. We also talk about Duran Duran, voices so good they could kill, miniature golf ball colors, and business propositions. Ben picks a miniature golf ball color. Mike picks the same miniature golf ball color.

Ep 91Into the Wild Green Yonder Part 2
It's time for giant miniature golf! But in order to do it, we need to wipe out 12% of the galaxy. No biggie, right? Oh also Fry's whole mind-reading plot gets deeper. Much deeper. Meanwhile, Ben and Mike decide to reboot some movies into TV, talk Jeopardy!, talk about how bad they are at sports, find the definition of "Golf Pants," and so much more! Ben is scientist approved. Mike wins big at Jeopardy!

Ep 90Into the Wild Green Yonder Part 1
We're taking a trip to Mars Vegas! Start putting those quarters in slots and counting cards or whatever you do when you are in Vegas! We've never been, so we don't know. The Planet Express crew are also in Vegas! MARS Vegas, that is! A poker tournament and an ilicit affair take the center stage. We also accidentally realize we are a Portlandia sketch (please don't sue us). We talk about stacking bonuses in D&D (or at least, Ben does). We talk about the food you'd use to make out. We talk about clamp-like devices. Ben becomes a superhero. Mike writes a screenplay.

Ep 89Bender's Game Part 4
The grand conclusion of an epic adventure and also a very long infomercial for a knife with a real staghorn handle. Yes that's right, it's Bender's Game Part 4, where all youre questions will be answered. Also, we talk about Pokémon again (DANG IT). We tell stories about debate. We create a new children's book. We talk about the futility of that stupid game where you throw bean bags into a tic-tac-toe board. Avocados. Y'know. All the good stuff. Ben starts a vegetable podcast. Mike climbs the debator ladder.

Ep 88Bender's Game Part 3
Today we're transported to the wonderful land of D&D! Gather ye swords and ye spells and get ye flask. ROLL FOR INITIATIVE! Also we talk Pokémon quite a bit. And legal cases in Pokémon Court. We talk about cats and their various eating gross things and vomiting escapades. And of course, we provide the great spelling tips you obviously subscribed to this podcast for. Ben meets Aerosmith. Mike searches for friends.

Ep 87Bender's Game Part 2
We tried to type up good show notes for this episode but they kept getting ruined by JEREMY. C'mon, man! What the hell? The Planet Express crew looks for a MgGuffin and an anti-McGuffin. Nerds play D&D. Bender is still under a belief that he is Titanius Anglesmith, Fancyman of Cornwood. And meanwhile we are too busy talking about Jeremy. Always Jeremy. Ben has tea with titans. Mike pretends he's an owl exterminator.
