With its promises of long, warm, lazy, school-free days, summer is essentially synonymous with freedom- vacations, swimming at the pool or the shore, trips to amusement parks, and a much needed break from school work. During summer, kids often have less-structured schedules leading to less activity (which may be great!) and fewer healthy food choices (which is not so great!!). What is a parent to do?
