Directed and co-written by Francois Truffaut and starring Catherine Deneuve, Gerard Depardieu, Jean Poiret, Andréa Ferréol and Heinz Bennent, The Last Metro was nominated for both the Oscar and the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film.
