Directed by Stuart Rosenberg from a script by Donn Pearce and Frank R. Pierson (based on Pearce’s novel) and starring Paul Newman, George Kennedy, Strother Martin, Morgan Woodward and Clifton James, Cool Hand Luke was nominated for four Oscars and won one.
