Abolitionist Sojourner Truth died on November 26, 1883 in Michigan. Her deep religious faith is what motivated her to fight for equality for all, and her “Ain’t I a Woman?” speech is celebrated to this day. But different accounts of what she actually said in that speech have been adapted to fit different political agendas. Mary Cuff joins us with more.
