Every year between the months of October and April the spotted mackerel pass through the Gold Coast bringing with them good numbers of Spanish mackerel and the odd monster cobia.
In Episode 262 I talk to former commercial mackerel fisher turned lure-only Gold Coast fishing guide of 25 years, Brad Smith. Smithy talks us through the techniques he's used to target these species off the Goldie for decades - and that still catch him quality mackerel today.
