USWNT star Julie Ertz has just announced she is returning to the NWSL for the first time since 2021. Sandra Herrera and Lisa Roman break down the latest around Ertz's signing, her contract and more. Julie Ertz previously spent 8 seasons in Chicago with the Red Stars before being traded to Angel City FC in 2022. Ertz started a family and gave birth to her first son in August of 2022, never reporting to Los Angeles. At the end of the 2022 season, Ertz became a free agent allowing her the freedom to negotiate and sign with any club.
