Despite having been struck by personal tragedy a number of times, Phil's story is one of immense positivity. Having learnt to live with his depression, he found fame as touchline reporter on BBC Wales' coverage of live rugby, regularly delights crowds with his entertaining after dinner speeches and is regarded as an all-round nice guy of rugby.
