Proverbs 16:32 offers sound wisdom: a man who is slow to anger is truly mighty, and self-control is a mark of real strength. In our March 2026 Ironworks, we explore how this truth is demonstrated through the biblical concept of meekness, study examples of quiet strength, and learn how to cultivate it in our own lives.

As Moses prepares the Israelites to enter the Promised Land – a place of abundance and blessing – in Deuteronomy 8-9, he gives them a strong warning from the Lord: do not forget who brought you there and who provides all you have. In our February 2026 Ironworks study, we see how modern men are still vulnerable to pride, self-sufficiency, and the dangers of prosperity, and learn about the only true safeguard against them.

Paul gives Timothy practical instruction in 1 Timothy 6 to help him keep his focus firmly on Christ. In our January 2026 Ironworks study, Pastor Kaipo Amina walks us through Paul’s exhortations, covering everything from working hard to being content, what it means to be a man of God, and how we should view riches as we strive to keep our hearts attuned to what truly matters.

David’s fear-fueled, frenzied flight from King Saul in 1 Samuel 21 leads him into a series of choices that serve as an example of what not to do in moments of trial and trouble. In our November 2025 Ironworks study, we take a closer look at David’s actions to help us learn how to respond in godliness, strength, and wisdom when we face troubled times of our own.

As King David nears the end of his life, he gives some words of advice in 1 Kings 2:1-4 to his son, Solomon, on how to be a godly man. In our October 2025 Ironworks, we study David’s final charge to discover how men can remain strong, steady, and steadfast in an antagonistic world and learn how we can leave a lasting spiritual legacy.

We live in a day where people love to brag about their intelligence, strength, possessions, and just about everything else. During our September 2025 Ironworks, we look at the problem of pride in men and discover from Jeremiah 9:23-24 what is truly worth boasting about.

After years of deception, disobedience, and distress, Jacob finally reaches the point of repentance and returns to God in Genesis 35:1-7. In our May 2025 Ironworks study, we see just what steps Jacob took to get him back on track with God and why we too must stop sowing seeds of sin that only lead to trouble and spiritual ineffectiveness in our lives, homes, and the church.

At our April 2025 Ironworks, former NFL player and University of Oregon chaplain Josh Bidwell joins us to share his powerful testimony of hope, perseverance, and trusting God even when the path forward is unclear.

In Nehemiah 12, the wall of Jerusalem is complete, and the people gather together for a joyful dedication and celebration. Guest pastor Kaipo Amina walks us through this gathering in our March 2025 Ironworks study, showing how each person’s role in work and worship impacted their families, purity, and commitment to the Lord.

Are you prepared for the battles of life, or are you merely wandering through like a tourist? In our February 2025 Ironworks study, we explore how to develop a warrior mentality – just like David’s Mighty Men in 1 Chronicles 12. By surrounding ourselves with the right people, engaging in the church with purpose, and serving the Lord and others effectively, we can stand strong together.

The Apostle Paul gives an exhortation in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 that serves as a powerful playbook on how to be a good man. In our January 2025 Ironworks study, we look at examples of good and bad men in Scripture, analyze the attributes that make a man bad, and see what Paul tells us we should be doing to be good men.

While it may seem like Nehemiah 11 is just an insignificant list of names, numbers, and places, there is actually some amazing wisdom and meaning behind all this information. In our November 2024 Ironworks study, Kaipo Amina helps us see why God included this in Scripture and how it highlights things we can learn about being godly men.

Eli the Priest lived in a culture that had neglected God’s Word, personally failed to follow the Lord’s instructions, and had let his two sons run wild. Consequently, God judged Eli for his bad behavior and called the young boy Samuel to be His prophet, knowing he would hear and obey the Word of the Lord. In our October 2024 Ironworks study, we break down this story to learn how to avoid going off course like Eli by failing to listen and instead be those who hear and obey God’s voice like Samuel.

You don’t have to look very hard to see that we live in troubling times that resemble the last days Paul talks about in 2 Timothy 3:1-17. In our September 2024 Ironworks study, we learn what the characteristics of men will be during this time, what will happen as a consequence, and how to instead be men of God who wholeheartedly follow His Word.

We compare and contrast where Abraham and Lot were sitting in Genesis 18:1-3 and 19:1-3 to see how where they positioned themselves ultimately influenced their trajectory (and world history!). In our May 2024 Ironworks study, we challenge ourselves to examine where we are sitting to ensure we are worshiping God correctly, avoiding destruction for ourselves and our families, and leading those around us to see our hope in Christ.

The rebuilding of the wall is finished in Nehemiah 7, but that doesn’t mean the work is over. Guest pastor Kaipo Amina resumes his Be Like Nehemiah study by showing us Nehemiah’s next steps of appointing leadership and assigning roles and how this models how we can serve and follow God in our churches, individual ministries, and homes.

What we look at directly impacts the direction we head and, ultimately, the outcome of our lives. In our March 2024 Ironworks study, we examine what we should focus on by contrasting that with the things that impair our vision. Join us as we search the Scriptures for examples of men with spiritual vision problems and learn from their mistakes to correct our own sight.

Do you have a picture of what a man of God looks like? The Bible actually gives us several examples, including Elijah. As we study a snapshot from Elijah’s life in 1 King 17 in our February 2024 Ironworks study, we see what qualities made him a man of God, how he was used mightily because of this, and how we, as men, can emulate his example.

Abraham takes a detour down to Egypt in Genesis 12:8-20 that puts his wife in a compromising position, derails his relationship with God, and ultimately sets up a scenario that wreaks havoc to this day. In our January 2024 Ironworks study, we look at what caused Abraham to take this detour, what all the ramifications were, how we can avoid going off course, and what to do if we go astray.

Since way back in the Garden of Eden in Genesis 3:1-6, Satan has had one basic playbook to trick men into turning away from God and His Word – and it is still just as effective today. In our November 2023 Ironworks study, we break down Satan’s lies to easily identify the scriptural weapons we can use to defend ourselves against being bamboozled by Beelzebub.

2 Timothy 2:1-26 gives men a comprehensive and varied list of roles they should be fulfilling within their lives, the church, and the community. In our October 2023 Ironworks study, we look into these functions to help us determine our objectives, how we can improve in fulfilling our duties, and why we should apply these to our walks with the Lord.

What does it mean to be a faithful man? And why does it even matter? In our September 2023 Ironworks study, we look at the charge to be faithful in 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 and seek to understand why it matters now and in eternity, see what being a successful steward looks like, and learn how faithfulness can manifest in our lives as men.

After seeing the atrocities that were taking place in the Temple, Jesus deals with the situation in John 2:13-22 by driving the money changers away, overturning tables, and issuing commands to remove what did not belong. In our May 2023 Ironworks study, we look at Jesus’ intense reaction and see how it gives us an example of being angry for the right reasons, how to call out sin appropriately, and why it is crucial to keep our reactions balanced and under control.

Nehemiah has some serious issues to deal with in Nehemiah 5 as the people come before him with a host of troubles. In our April 2023 Ironworks study, guest pastor Kaipo Amina breaks down Nehemiah’s response in dealing with the people’s problems while giving us actionable ways to respond with godly leadership, grace, and compassion when faced with our own difficult situations.

An incident in Judges 8:1-3 offends the Ephraimites, and their lingering resentment causes long-term and devastating consequences. In our March 2023 Ironworks study, we learn how we can avoid being offended and letting the seed of bitterness grow into a tree of trouble.

Moses petitions Pharaoh for permission to leave Egypt in Exodus 8-10, but Pharaoh will not consent and proposes a series of compromises. In our February 2023 Ironworks study, we look at these compromises, see how men are asked to make similar concessions today, and learn how we should instead stand firm in what God has called us to do.

The men in Ezra 9:1-3 failed to separate themselves from the bad behavior of the surrounding nations and were subsequently caught up in sin, far from God, and failing as spiritual leaders. In our January 2023 Ironworks study, we see what it means to be set apart, how we can pursue radical holiness, and how to start making strides toward being the men that God has called us to be.

As Nehemiah rebuilds the city wall, he encounters opposition, attacks, and criticism but manages all these situations biblically. As guest pastor Kaipo Amina walks us through Nehemiah's model of manhood in our November 2022 Ironworks study, we learn how to identify the enemy's attacks, respond appropriately, and be more like Nehemiah in all areas of our lives.

As wokeness runs rampant, threatening to cancel anything it deems toxic – including men and masculinity – how can we step up and defend ourselves, our families, and our faith? In our October Ironworks study, we see how men can take on cancel culture through Biblical truth and the equipping of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible gives clear instructions on the role of men and examples of what this should look like. Unfortunately, many men are erroneous in their treatment of women, and it causes all kinds of trouble within our homes and society. In our monthly Ironworks study, we examine the reasons for these failings and learn how we can work to course-correct our interactions with women to live up to the biblical standard.
