Not all pharmacists are intimately familiar with the FDA’s Opioid Analgesic Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS), which is the official comprehensive pain education strategy essential to frontline providers in order to ensure that patients receive and understand the Medication Guides and information regarding safe use of opioid medications.
