George MacDonald wrote fairytales in the late 1800s. His influence is seen in many writers, such as Lewis, Tolkien, Chesterton, Auden, and more. This particular story follows a young boy named Diamond who goes on dreamlike adventures with North Wind while also remaining well-grounded in the mundane world of London.
