Ep 4What's Your Growing Edge?
“This is part of your growing edge”, she said. The words casually passed from a beloved friend to me for comfort and encouragement as I was navigating a new, life-stretching situation. The words began looping in mind like a song lyric on repeat. More and more, I found myself taking in the words with an affirming yes. “This is part of my growing edge.” I haven’t stopped reflecting on that statement since that day. And even better, I can see it everywhere bubbling to the surface. This growing edge doesn’t belong only to “them”, “him” and “her”. It belongs to all of us in some capacity in our own way. Now more than ever, each of us, are being invited to look deeper into the thresholds we need to cross individually and collectively. The powerful gift the growing edge offers is a shift of perception from a problem or crisis mode to a growing orientation. Years back, I had a dream that felt prophetic in nature toward my life. There was a massive ball of electrical wires and cords all twisted together and entangled into a wadded up mess. It was under my bed. While in the dream, I distinctly remember I thought this wadded ball of messy wires was hideous and ugly. I kept trying to cover it up with a blanket because I was embarrassed for others to see it. It seemed like no matter how much effort I used, I wasn’t ever able to completely cover it up and hide it away. Each time I would try and cover the massive monstrous ball of entanglements, a part of it would pop out and was unable to be covered. Through the years, the dream kept coming back to speak to me again and again. I have returned to it so many times for insight, learning and growth. When life is messy with energetic entanglements we can feel lost in a forest of confusion and overwhelm. Whether they are on the interior or exterior of our lives, energetic and emotional entanglements, from relationships to money or addictive patterns and behaviors, to life responsibilities, and on a larger scale, the worldly power structures, can take a toll if we don’t get what they are here to show us for our evolving growth. One of my recent growing edge moments woke me up in the middle of the night. I felt mentally and emotionally immobilized by an unsettling, painful event that happened. I felt anxious in my solar plexus and I physically couldn't deny it. There wasn’t anything I could say to myself to ease the real physical sensation in my gut. There wasn't a feeling, I was able to call forward to change my state of emotions. As I was whirling to find stable ground, the words came from a deep place inside, “This is your growing edge, Anne.” It was like taking in, a deep breath of truth and that gave me a subtle reprieve. My body was talking to me. Something deep down wanted to be expressed, brought to the surface, my solar plexus, the gut instinct level where personal power is managed and processed from an energetic intuitive core center didn't want to be ignored. I was being asked to look deeper into what is going on rather than finding a bypass, a distraction to explore a deeper path within that didn't want to be avoided or denied out of fear. When we don’t complete an energy pattern or activate the needed awareness around an area that needs attention, healing or growth, we set ourselves to repeat it. I decided to not turn away from what my growing edge was asking of me because I knew I would remain lost in the forest of confusion and setting myself back on a repeating path verses a completing path. A slow subtle calming began to come over me as I began to allow my growing edge come to the surface to be heard. We all have one right now. Maybe your growing edge is speaking loudly to you or maybe it is simmering in the background of your life. Either way, the sooner we give awareness to the growing edge that is our own to navigate, the sooner we give ourselves the higher altitude to show up to our lives with what’s true to come through. After being woken up in the middle of the night, I let my growing edge speak to me the following morning from a higher altitude, the inner mountaintop that holds a more vast vision of my true knowing of what is next for me. I woke up in the morning and journaled with profound clarity what my growing edge had to say from a deep healing way that I was able to take into my life with deep self honoring love and respect. I was able to step into my new unknown and have a difficult conversation, while allowing myself to stand on what’s true for me. The unsettling sensation on my gut level continued to subside as I acknowledged and allowed the suppressed to be expressed from a real and true authentic place inside. Being present to my growing edge gave soul and stamina to the situation to not fall off my edge into a repeating path of pain. There is real internal energy equity we can build with our natural empowerment that builds and sustains when we know how to step forward into our growing edge. In my Soul Stamina Plan course that I have shared wit

Ep 3MONDAY MANTRA: That Which Supports Me Boldly Steps Forward
MONDAY MANTRA: That Which Supports Me BOLDLY Steps Forward... That Which Doesn't Gracefully Steps Down. This is absolutely one of the most powerful mantras you can use for everything!!! Ep 2Before. After. The Magical Messy Middle
A picture is worth a 1000 words. It’s true. The brain processes imagery at an exceptional speed. Advertisers, marketers, and people selling results know the power punch a single image can produce. The overweight body to toned and thin. Single and alone to an embracing love. Money pains to money gains. A cluttered mess to a “Feng Shui success”. A small unspoken spirit to a dazzling out-spoken soul. The list goes on and on. It’s the classic storyline of the “before and after”. Pictures, phrases and desires plastered everywhere attempting to motivate, sell or inspire. We look at the “after” photos and think. Wow, aren’t they amazing? And yes, the transformational results are amazing! However, the real power started in the “before” picture with the brave soul who stepped forward. _Made a new choice. __Took the first step. __ Broke the silence. __Began the program. __ Declined the drink. __Went to the gym. __ Had the hard conversation. __Made the amends. __ Formed a commitment. _Said yes. Said no. __ Made a decision to set a new trajectory of self-transformation. What is most often overlooked is the magical messy middle it took to become that “after” state. It’s where the true soul strength lives. It’s in that “before” picture believing in something, even before others can see it. What isn’t captured in the “before” picture is how many times they doubted themselves but still went for the walk, still showed up at the gym, declined the sweet treats so lovingly offered, said no to that lump sum of money that would have brought a lot of immediate financial freedom while only selling their soul and said yes in a new way. Most likely, the magical messy middle is happening for you in one or more areas of your life. Could be in health or body improvement. Relationship seeking or deepening. Career redefining. Family dynamics. Financial restoration or healing. Home stability. Business expansion. A divorce. Creative expression. Raising children. The range of the ways we can encounter the messy middle on life’s journey is endless. The unknowns in the messy middle can sweep in. Overtake us in frightening scary ways or with a subtle unraveling pressure. We could get stuck at these roadblocks that will show up on the path if we don’t know how to re-calibrate ourselves, and make meaningful momentum toward our own soul-inspired “becoming” that leads to the “after” snapshot. I have found that most of real life is happening in the magical messy middle. I was standing thirty-five feet above the ground on a telephone pole for an event called, “the perch”. Nothing but open space and a gushing breeze of air surrounded me. I stood completely confined, not being able to step to the left or right. Both feet perched on a twelve-inch disc attached to a pole thirty-five feet in the air. As I stood on that perch, the pole would take on whatever kind of energy I was transferring to it. If I was shaky, the pole would tremble and shake back. It was a matching energy feedback system between myself and the pole. My inner state would transfer to my outer environment instantaneously. My fastest way to getting stable was to focus on the inspired action. Across from me six feet in the air was a trapeze representing the inspired vision ahead. Still, to this day, I can say the most significant aspect of that impacted me most wasn’t the exhilaration I felt jumping thirty-five feet in the air to a trapeze and catching it. The most magical part of the entire experience was that uncertain, scary, timeless, expansive zone of the unknown that happened right in the middle. We have all experienced certain events where time slows down and the moment becomes so expansive we enter a new zone. It is truly a courageous soul who stands before each of us in the “before” picture full of so much power, possibility and willingness to embrace self-love one day at a time. _It takes real soul strength and stamina to speak the future envisioned self into being. _Staying true to it. Not letting ourselves get derailed from the path. We can get stuck at these life roadblocks that will show up if we aren’t re-fueling ourselves. Re-calibrating our soul to stay true to our path and power. Wherever you are right now in the magical messy middle of your life, can you put down the self-inflicting whip that wants to rush you? Are you harshly pushing yourself to make it happen? Do you berate yourself as not good enough yet! Are you allowing the collected voices from others to take over your inner dominion? Eleven years ago, when I was way deep in a thick dense forest of an overwhelming massive, messy middle. My life was filled with red-hot messes all around me in my life, I was napping with my three-year-old son. At that time, so many parts of my life needed fixing. Changing. To make more sense. I paused the performance of the hurried hustle to fix it, to force it to happen, to make it all better. _I let it be. _ I allowed authentic action to speak to me. I felt like the luckiest gal i

Ep 1Audacity to be Authentic
“Have the audacity to be authentic.” This statement feels bold, something brave people say. Or it’s an option we use when the time is right. It can be a permission pass we give ourselves to show up more fully, but only if conditions are right enough to take action. Make the decision. Speak up. Raise our hands, and say, “Yes, count me in!’ or “No, count me out”. Being authentic can also sound like a really nice extra-curricular activity we do when the picture-perfect life has arrived. When we have enough time. When we have enough money. When we are pretty enough. Thin enough. Smart enough. Educated enough. Or when the conditions are right enough. The right words. The right people. Right mood. Dressed in the right outfit. In the right opportunity. When everything is just right, all the stars have aligned. Only then do give ourselves permission to awaken our most treasured self, filled with the audacity to be authentic. Women are designed to conform. Physiologically, our bodies are made to shape-shift and conform to accommodate. The adapting and flexible nature of a woman is so exceptional that it allows her to hold and grow the space for another human being to be created and brought into the world through her. What happens when this life-giving system of a woman gets lost by over-accommodating and over-conforming that it becomes a habit of people pleasing? She loses her own voice, expression, actions, dreams, and standards of her true self. A part of her will not be fully expressed or lived. We are at a new crossroads for women today. We are struggling in so many directions and painful life configurations because of cultural conditioning, expectations, family responsibilities and life obligations. We often find ourselves separated from our own congruent knowing of what is true for ourselves. This can cause painful roadblocks that make us feel stuck, as if life’s quicksand has swallowed us up. No matter how much energy we output, we struggle to get unstuck, to gain our momentum and feel relief. We yearn for some of life’s breathing space. This phenomenon of being stuck, separated from our own authentic expressed self, I refer to as feeling outside of our own life. The stress of stuck life energy can become so chronically restrictive and constrictive, we lose parts of ourselves. The clarity we crave to have our own knowing or trust in life becomes layered with confusion and overwhelm. We can begin to self-transform with what I call the W-A-Y. Willingness to be worthy. Audacity to be Authentic. Yes to life. Willingness to be worthy means opening up more deeply to our personal relationship of self-love. Real, true self-love involves acts of honor, taking ourselves by the hand and walking ourselves out of the forest of self-betrayal and denial. Every time we say “yes” to something when on the inside we feel the gripping and tightening answer of “no”, we betray ourselves. We sink deeper into disconnection from our true selves. The pain of disconnection feeds dysfunction, addiction, numbing and denying behaviors, only pushing us further outside of our own lives. We can get back inside our lives by being willing to acknowledge our worthiness and to honor ourselves. Step by step. Moment by moment. Decision by decision. Simple acts of congruency restore our connection to self-love, such as saying “yes” when it’s a yes and saying “no” when it’s a no. Authenticity is about reversing the direction of self-betrayal and denial. Saying “yes” to life is about accessing our authentic, soul-inspired self. It’s getting the answers from that inner source of guidance. Not holding back, not denying, but listening with honor to our own truthful whispers. It’s this kind of authentic yes that always has the right time for our true yes. The authentic yes gives you access to incredible powers to live more fully. The most important yes we can possibly express is the yes that comes from the audacity to be authentic. It’s already in us. We just have to keep remembering it is there. Every one of us was born with genuine authenticity. It was built within our birthright and is as fundamental as our fingerprints. It’s about showing up. Truthfully. We came into the world full of audacity and authenticity. Hang out with a two-year-old, and you will know authenticity is a true state of being we bring into the world. If it’s missing now, it’s because it has been socialized out, slowly chipped away with conditioning or stripped out with trauma. We have to return to remembering again what it feels like to show up fully with truth and authenticity in our own courageous way.
