A new UMBC poll reveals a lack of understanding among Marylanders about state politics, with only 19% answering four or five questions correctly out of five. The poll, which surveyed 804 adults, found that 40% knew zero or one answer, and 42% got two or three right. The questions ranged from easy to hard, with only 30% knowing the Republican in the U.S. House delegation and 29% aware of the 90-day legislative session. The poll also found that 40% of Marylanders root hardest for the Baltimore Orioles, while 16% support the Washington Nationals. The survey of 731 registered voters has a margin of error of around 3.5 percentage points.
