Show Notes
More than 100 people gathered in Annapolis to plant a Liberty Tree sapling, a genetic clone of Marylands original Liberty Tree. The event marked Maryland Day and the start of a yearlong project to place a sapling in every Maryland county. The original tree served as a rallying point for the Sons of Liberty and its legacy continues through clones. The ceremony included a fife and drum performance and a reading of Thomas Paines Liberty Tree ballad. The saplings serve as living symbols of revolutionary roots and unity.
