Anne Arundel County residents can enhance their emergency preparedness with a Community Emergency Response Team training course in late March 2026. This FEMA-backed program, led by the local CERT group, teaches practical skills for when first responders cant reach everyone. The twenty-one-hour course covers fire safety, search and rescue, team organization, and basic medical response, culminating in a full disaster simulation. Open to all ages, this course empowers community members to protect their families and neighbors. Sessions are held at the Anne Arundel County Fire Training Academy in Millersville over four days. Early sign-ups are encouraged for this vital prep effort, as spots fill quickly.
