Wednesday 8/13 at 6pm at the Downtown Library, author and strength training advocate Casey Johnston AKA the Swole Woman talks about her new book, A Physical Education, with RICH RETYI HIMSELF! Casey's book is part memoir and part scientific exploration into weight training and touches on her obsessive cardio and restricted diet past and how she learned to embrace strength training and see herself in a whole different way.
ANIME ARBOR
AADL has the first of three ALL-NEW festivals and expos happening THIS WEEEKND and it's called Anime Arbor! Saturday, August 16 from 11am to 5pm!
It's a celebration of all things anime and manga, featuring vendors selling cool stuff, presentations and events like How to Draw Manga, Anime Trivia, and special guest SungWon Cho AKA ProZD who has provided voice talent for tons of anime and video games and is a very popular Youtuber.
There will also a Cosplay contest with prizes for winners across a ton of categories!
