Ukrainian forces have retaken towns and defensive positions on Kyiv’s eastern outskirts. A U.S. defense officials tells CNN Russian forces have stopped “any interests in terms of ground movements” towards the capital city. Retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling is a former Army Commanding General for Europe and the Seventh Army. He joins Anderson Cooper to discuss the Ukrainian’s territory gains and the Russian military strategy.
