The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is rolling out a new federal electronic health record system, starting with Anchorage and other sites in April. This system will provide instant access to a patients full history, improving care and standardization. The full nationwide rollout will be completed by 2031 at a cost of $37 billion.
