Neon Pony, aka Chastity Ashley, a drummer, vocalist, and DJ with Indigenous roots, celebrated her one-year anniversary of an hour-long live set under the northern lights in Interior Alaska. Despite freezing weather and seventeen-degree cold, she performed nonstop, skipping gloves to grip her drumsticks and a special handmade Alaskan hand drum. The magical experience, her first time seeing the northern lights up close, was captured on Nenana tribal land with direct permission from the tribe. This Alaska performance is the second episode in her Beats and Hidden Retreats series, with more installments and trips to Alaska planned.
