Juneau School Board to Finalize Budget, Union Contract; Public Input Welcome
The Juneau School Board is set to finalize next years budget and ratify a tentative contract with the Juneau Education Support Staff union. The proposed budget includes wage increases and higher health insurance contributions for the staff, as well as funding for new positions and a revised staffing calculation. The board is also considering two resolutions and will hold a closed meeting on collective bargaining and superintendent selection. Public input is welcome during the meeting, which begins at 6 PM in the Thunder Mountain Middle School library and is also available online.
