Tragedy Strikes Deadliest Catch: Deckhand Todd Meadows Dies in Bering Sea Incident
A twenty-five-year-old deckhand, Todd Meadows, tragically lost his life while fishing in the Bering Sea on February twenty-fifth. Working on the Aleutian Lady, a boat featured in the Discovery Channels Deadliest Catch, Meadows fell overboard about one hundred seventy miles north of Dutch Harbor. The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating the incident, which was captured on video by a film crew. Meadows mother and father, who described fishing as his lifelong passion, have spoken out against the release of the footage. Friends and family have started a GoFundMe to support his three young sons. The Coast Guard has offered condolences to those affected.
