Show Notes
Michael Meyers helps parents identify the manipulative behaviors used by predators that often lead to abuse. As parents, one of our primary roles is to keep our kids safe. Research shows the 93% of abusers are known by the victim and their family.
This information will hopefully allow parents to recognize what is actually happening and to intervene before the abuse occurs.
Michael emphasized there are no lists, but there are some behaviors parents can be aware of:
- Extra Touching, even an arm, leg, back.
- Excluded other adults in an activity.
- Provide rewards for kids, like a special activity for the "special helper."
- Guilt or secrecy.
- Pet names.
Michael Meyers will be back to share more information. Watch for his next podcast early in 2025.
