Elbridge Gerry should be a household name. He was a Founding Father and had the respect of many big names including John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. Elbridge is responsible for many vital freedoms and protections we enjoy today. However, he's also the guy that Gerrymandering (zoning voting districts to give one party an advantage) is named after.
