Episode 052: of the American Grown Podcast in the Colortech Creative Solutions studios with Adam Stec Owner of Drums Etc. Adam used the Gary Vaynerchuk (popular YouTube/content creator) method of offering to work for FREE in order to secure a job in an industry that he not only loves but is obsessed with. Now he is at the helm of Lancaster counties premier, drums & music store.
In this episode Adam talks about how he didn't want to be like his friends and flip burgers to make money in high school but rather he chose to work for FREE. While working at Drums Etc Adam soaked up everything he could from then owner Rick & fellow employee Shawn. After working his way up the ladder Adam had proven himself enough to the point where Rick made him sole owner of the store. Adam & I also talk about how he lucked into organizing the 26th Annual PA Drum Show, happening in Lititz at Mickey's Black Box on Sunday 11/19. Admission is $5, doors open noon-6pm.
