Patty McCord is best known for serving as Chief Talent Officer of Netflix from 1998-2012. During her time at Netflix she collaborated with other managers over the course of ten years to write a deck on company culture that has been shared over 15 million times on Slideshare and that Sheryl Sandberg has called, “the most important document ever to come out of the Valley”.Patty's book, Powerful: Building a Culture of Freedom and Responsibility, was published in January of 2018 and shares many of the principles on which the Netflix culture was built and offers a practical guide to create a similar culture for your business.
