Show Notes
Georgia has turned into a real peach for Democrats in the Senate. Raphael Warnock beat his Republican opponent Hershel Walker in the runoff election, keeping both of the state's Senate seats blue. The victory in Georgia is a major triumph for Joe Biden, making him the first president since Franklin Roosevelt to see all his party's senators up for re-election win. And a 51-49 majority will impact everything from committee chairs to legislation. To reflect on the result, Christiane spoke to former US Senate Democrat Carol Moseley Braun and Republican strategist Sarah Longwell.
Also on today's show: Former Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Vladimir Milov; Rappler CEO and Nobel Laureate Maria Ressa.
