Ted looks in the mirror and discovers Ned Newton, ace reporter for the Bonners Ferry Herald newspaper.
Ted discovers that the more things change, the more they stay the same. He takes a trip down memory lane and compares Ned's new life as a journalist with his own from 50 years ago.
Ned is a Texas boy and is adjusting to the snow, cold, and lack of sun in North Idaho. But he loves the beauty and the people of the area.
Ted has noticed a significant improvement in the coverage and writing of the local newspaper and believes Ned is the reason.
Ned shares some of his favorite stories he has written so far since joining the newspaper in November.
Ned strives to be a good journalist without bias. He wants to inform his readers as he explores the area's events and issues.
As a former high school basketball player, he is really impressed with the success and culture of the Bonners Ferry boys' basketball team.
