Show Notes

I’m joined by Chantelle Robards – Allied Health Subject Matter Specialist at Ernst & Young Global Consulting Services – to discuss several barriers that seem to be preventing many Allied Health business owners from stepping outside their comfort zone and doing things differently.

We chat about the NDIS and its barriers, as well as the overall workforce including undergrad preparation, volume of students required to meet current needs, and the short and long-term impacts of more Allied Health professionals leaving the profession. You’ll also hear Chantelle’s thoughts on Allied Health Assistants (AHA’s) such as engaging in training, the commercial reality of making AHA’s work, and whether the NDIS will require for AHA’s to be qualified.

Topics covered on the NDIS, workforce and Allied Health Assistants:

  • Barriers to doing business differently

  • Undergrad preparations

  • Delegating and releasing work to AHA’s
