In this week’s episode we have special guest Renee Pea, the Consul General of Croatia in Los Angeles. Born in Croatia and a career diplomat, Renee was sent on assignment to L.A. where her jurisdiction covers a large part of the western U.S.A. In this episode we’re going to learn about her and her role in helping Croatians abroad connect back with the Homeland. Renee talks about some of the most common problems that the Croatian diaspora face, including how the process of obtaining Croatian citizenships works. We (or I) also learn about the difference between a consulate and an embassy, and we hear some news about new trade agreements and policies, so stay tuned to find out!
