Scott Wheeler wrote an article, in The Athletic, about LA Kings prospect Arthur Kaliyev that included a quote claiming "‘He’ll be one of the best players in the world." Wheeler spoke to Kaliyev's coaches, members of the LA Kings development staff and Kaliyev himself for the article. The topics range from his development as a player, to his presence in the locker room and his experience at the NHL Entry Draft.
Rasmus Kupari has two points, a goal and an assist, and has impressed in his first two games for the Ontario Reign. The 19 year old Finnish forward spoke about the start of his season, the similarities between Kotka and LA and how he's adapting to a smaller ice surface.
Goalie expert Cat Silverman took a look at every goal allowed against Edmonton and Vancouver. Jonathan Quick allowed 14 goals in two games but was victimized by some defensive mistakes and bad bounces.
