A new book about the only Black editor on the staff of a prestigious fashion magazine revisits the world of hip-hop music and the glamorous magazine scene in the late 1990s. Former Ebony magazine editor-in-chief and author Amy Dubois Barnett discusses her debut novel, If I Ruled the World, which is being adapted into a hour-long drama series co-written by producer Lee Daniels.
