Philip J. Corso sits at a peculiar crossroads of American military history and postwar popular culture. A decorated U.S. Army officer who served from 1942 to 1963 and rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel, he later became—through a single book published in 1997—one of the most polarizing figures in the modern UFO canon. That book was The Day After Roswell.
