speaks to Jonathan Jansen, Distinguished Professor of Education at Stellenbosch University, who has strongly criticised the proposed curriculum, describing it as “anti-intellectual and soul-deadening.” Jansen raises concerns about both the substance and intent of the overhaul, warning it could undermine the very purpose of studying history.
Presenter John Maytham is an actor and author-turned-talk radio veteran and seasoned journalist.
