This week on After Sunday we get into one of the wildest redemption stories in the Bible. Manasseh might be the worst king Judah ever had. Idolatry, child sacrifice, spiritual collapse. Total disaster. Then somehow he humbles himself and God restores him.
So that raises a weird question. If God can restore that guy… what does that mean for people we think are beyond hope?
We talk about the outrage when a Church of Christ preacher baptized Jeffrey Dahmer in prison, the parable of the workers in Matthew 20, and why grace actually offends our pride more than it comforts it. Turns out the gospel does not run on our sliding scale of good and bad.
