Tongan by birth, to missionary parents, the late Naimila and Tesimale Latu, she is married to Siosaia Vaihola, who is also a teacher by profession.

Maveni has dedicated his career to serving the church since 1988, taking on various roles such as a local church pastor, district director, school chaplain, youth director, and now serving in an administrative capacity. His extensive journey has taken him to different locations, including Tonga, the Cook Islands, and presently Fiji. He finds great joy in witnessing the growth of the Adventist movement, actively preparing the world for the imminent return of Jesus.

She and her family attend the Lae Adventist Memorial Church where they assist in training young people to study God’s Word using the Bible Summary or School for Life method which she initially introduced at Mt Diamond Adventist Secondary School where she served as a teacher.
