A suspect, Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, drove a vehicle into a synagogue in Michigan, but security guards stopped him. Ghazali, a US citizen born in Lebanon, lost family in an Israeli airstrike last week, which may have motivated the attack. No one was seriously injured, but one guard was knocked unconscious and thirty officers treated for smoke inhalation. Meanwhile, a gunman killed one and wounded two at Old Dominion University, who were later subdued and killed by students. The FBI is investigating both incidents as acts of terrorism.
