Two Chinese backpackers tragically lost their lives in floodwaters north of Brisbane. In the Northern Territory, flood levels at Daly River hit a new record, submerging every building. Recovery efforts are underway, but slow, with over six hundred people still in shelters and major flood warnings remaining for several rivers.
