Show Notes
Robby Krieger and Adam chat 1-on-1, beginning with Robby’s early days as a teenager forming The Doors in Southern California. Adam also asks Robby for his take on the Oliver Stone film, and Robby talks about trying to get another film made about the early years of the band. They then discuss Robby’s reaction to hearing Jim Morrison had died, Jim’s obsession with his mother, and Robby’s relationship with performing and being on stage. Other topics of conversation include some of Adam’s favorite Doors tracks, Robby’s songwriting abilities, and Robby’s lifelong love affair with the guitar. Later, Robby talks about how the band changed after Jim died, and the band’s resurgence of popularity over the last couple decades. As the show wraps, Robby plays a couple Doors riffs for Adam on his guitar.
