This week, we're looking to upgrade our PyPortal design by replacing the M4 SAMD51 https://www.digikey.com/short/r34w4h33 + ESP32 https://www.digikey.com/short/hrqh8zh8 with an ESP32-S3 https://www.digikey.com/short/88rt8mvn which has RGB TTL display support. This means we can initialize larger displays than 320x240 - up to 800x480! We'll need to use just about all the GPIO but it's worth it for a gorgeous big display. These displays use a standard 40-pin interface. Let's see what Digi-Key has in stock for us to check out and we'll chat about different options available in these display types.
