The Desk of Ladyada - VCF East / Museum Field Trip & CM-2 Pi Case

This weekend we took a day trip out to NJ to visit the InfoAge / Camp Evans historical district in Belmar NJ. This collection of buildings is on a former defense site on the coast and is both host to the VCF East festival AND has a ton of really cool museums and historical artifacts including an epic vintage radio/television museum, an amazing working historical computer collection, maker space, a massive military jeep and tank collection, and more! We took over 250 photos of many of the interesting things we saw. We also got one of the Ruiz' Bros CM-2 Pi/Pico case with LEDs to show off, a great built to honor a lovely historical computer. Thanks to unexpected maker, we got a Hot Tip on how they had the same issue but fixed it with some pi network tuning! Tuning for an antenna can take swapping out a range of capacitors to get the best performance. The best way to do that is to get a RF capacitor kit, so you can try lots of different values quickly! Let's find a kit for 0402 sized capacitors that range from about 1 to 10pF and are C0G/NPO precision.
