We are going to stick with the theater of the absurd as we invite Rachel Kennerly back on to talk about the Kaufman-esque, "Stranger Than Fiction". You'd think a movie where people using barbaric means to threaten violence to take away someone else's stuff would be something like "The Croods", but we live in far more "civilized" times where they do it with 4th amendment violations and forms in which you have to incriminate yourself, and if you get it wrong, you have to pay more or even go to jail. It's Stranger than Fiction, and it also happens to be the movie we are discussing with the great Rachel Kennerly. This is another movie that breaks some barriers in the story-telling and has some very choice words for one of our least-liked institutions that will be a lot of fun to discuss. Well be heading down under for next week's episode as we welcome back Shaheen for the Mel Gibson classic, "Mad Max". Show notes: http://www.actualanarchy.com/216 Presented by www.ActualAnarchy.com Robert and I analyze popular movies from a Rothbardian/Anarcho-Capitalist perspective. We use movies as a starting point for people who may not be familiar with this way of thinking. Discussion of the plot and decisions that characters make in relation to morality and violations of the non-aggression principle are our bread and butter. We also will highlight and discuss any themes or lessons from Austrian Economics that we can glean from the film. The point is to show what anarchy actually is with instances that are presented in film. We publish at least once per week; and occasionally will do specials surrounding holidays or events (elections/olympics) and have guests. SUBSCRIBE, RATE AND REVIEW ON APPLE PODCASTS (or iTUNES)
