Marcie Alvis-Walker is an author, creator, mother, partner in the work. Her important blog and Instagram accounts, @blackcoffeewithwhitefriends and @mockingbirdhistroylessons (History Lessons for Adults) are followed by hundreds of thousands of folx and tell the story of blackness that Marcie wishes her daughter to learn. Having grown up knowing only a part of her mother's story, Marcie uses her voice to educate and engage.
