What happens when a human child is raised by a vampire king? What happens when that child makes a choice? A lot happens it turns out when Oraya decides that she will enter the vampire tournament so that she can get her wish, to not be human and to bind herself to her vampire adoptive father; to no longer be prey in a world of predators. Enter the politics. It's bat wings verses feathered wings in a vampire war that features the legend of a goddess that is front and center to the story. This goddess likes chaos and has no problem showing her face and stirring the pot. ACOFAE loves to see it.
